Mary Ann Colihan is an independent radio producer and print journalist living in London, Ontario where she got her masters in journalism in 2003. She likes stories about how we produce and consume energy, manage waste,  grow our food and protect our health.  She has been chasing stories about innovation and loves to write about entrepreneurs and artists.

She grew up playing with crabs on Long Island Sound and has never met a water creature she didn’t like – discounting certain types of algae. Farmers’ markets are a particular passion.  She has started up two producer-based farmers’ markets and  co-authored a book on best practices.
